Why Government Does Not Give Charge Of Printing Of Money To Private Individuals?

There are following three basic reasons due to which government does not want to give charge of printing of money to private individuals:-

1. More profitable

2. Losing control of amount of currency

3. Losing control of inflation

The loss of control! If anyone printed money what would it be worth? To have value without a basis of value there must be security place in the assurance that value will be respected and accepted by others! Since traditionally money was based on a standard of value, as was even the US dollar at one time, the gold and silver value and if you are old enough you will remember that the dollar bill use to have a silver note which was pulled from circulation quite some time ago. The basis for the US dollar is now, "in God we Trust"! The actual value of paper money is in the trust of the country that issues the money as opposed to any tangible item such as gold or silver. If one were to study the US economy and its change from the gold standard which if you ever heard of Fort Knox, was the tangible value of US paper money, meaning that all paper money was based on the US gold reserves held by the US government, the largest of which at the time was held at Fort Knox. There philosophical argument against the US abolishing the gold standard can be best explained by the "Wizard of OZ"! That is right Dorothy, Toto, the Scare Crow, Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion! The yellow brick road symbolized the gold standard, and the Emerald City, was what color? GREEN! Thus the dollar bill! People were not to trust the dollar which had it's basis in nothing the yellow brick road (Gold Standard) ended at the Emerald City! Very interesting but involved but non the less very true!
