You would need a visa to come as a tourist as you are not part of the Schengen countries, or the countries that have an
agreement with Italy like Australia, USA, Canada, New Zealand and others, who can visit as tourists for 90 days, but must register with the Carabineri, and cannot work without a permit.
Therefore you would need to go to the Italian embassy in your country and ask them for the requirements, and the visa form.
You would then arrive as a tourist with a single entry visa for an exact period of time for example a month. Normally you would require a legal declaration from an Italian resident that you will be housed, and supported by them during your stay.(unless you are wealthy, and can prove your bank balance and use a credit card) they are therefore, completely responsible for you.
If your intention is to come to Italy for work, it would be a different matter completely. Since your country is not part of
the EU, you would have to have a firm job offer from an Italian
Citizen, and you would have to apply in your own country.
