How Many Hotels Are There In The World?
I know this # changes everyday, but I am looking for a very close estimate, maybe a survey # in the beginning of 2008? Not hotel rooms, or hotel brands, but the actual # of hotel properties in the world? Thank you.

Actually the number of hotels in the world can not be counted to near accuracy, this is because there are thousands of such hotels that are not listed. However, according to estimates there are around 75,000 hotels today around the world.

What do you mean "not listed" Where/what is this list? Thanks for the response.
What Aicha means is that there is no such list. So how can we tell you where this non-list is located?

75000 must be a very low amount? In small sweden there are 1700 hotels and only 9 million people. This means 1 hotel per 5230person. In the world there is about 6 Billion people and even if there are too many hotels per person in sweden there should be at least 1.1milion hotels around the world...
