Importance of Math...hm mm...lets say your parents gave you $100 as a gift to spend...so you go to the nearest video game store (of course, not Barnes and Nobles or something educative like that), and give the shop owner $100 for a $15 video game. The shop owner gives you back just $5 change...
As you get the change you say to yourself...."hmm...the shopkeeper knows best...duh...that must be the right change then"...and you walk away.

To have knowledge. Even if you don't have a job or career that will use the complex formulas and stuff, basic knowledge. If you have children and they need help with homework you'll be able to help them. It would be a little embarrassing if you aren't able to help
