Is 2007 A Leap Year And If Yes ...why?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

2007 is not a leap year because it is not divisible by 4. This is due to the fact that earth takes 365 and a quarter days to revolve around the sun. This quarter of a day gets added to make 1 day in 4 years. And that day is Feb 29 and we call the year with 29 days in Feb a leap year. The last leap year was 2004 and the next would be in 2008.

No, next year is a leap year-2008. It comes around every four years. Its to do with the rotation of the earth and moon. Sometimes it takes longer to go round and so we add an extra day every 4 years to compensate. Its confusing but that is what has happened for hundreds of years.

No, because in 2007 there was 365 total days n in leap year it will 366 days in year and when leap year the february will be 29 days and in 2007 the february was 28 days so it not a leap.
