Leamington located in Ontario in Essex County is essentially on the shore of the Erie Lake and adjoins Point Pelee National Park. Leamington is one of the municipalities here and according to the last census has a population of close to 27,000. As late as 2006; it came out on top as being Canada's best place to live by a well known magazine called MoneySense. Leamington is a very important destination for many avid birdwatchers from all over the country owing to its proximity to the park as well as its location. It is often known as the 'Tomato Capital of Canada' due to its tomato plantations and the fact that it houses a very huge H.J. Heinz Company. Some of the most important and significant structures here such as the information booth and the water tower are both shaped like tomatoes.
