I heard that this fat man (no offense intended) tried to get into the boat and he could not fit so he was going to sue Disney unless they fixed the ride so he could ride it.

Its a Small World is a popular attraction in several theme parks of Disneyland all across the world. Magic Kingdom was opened in 1971. There is no truth in the rumor that the ride has been closed for visitors for an year. Actually it was closed in the year 2004 and was reopened in 2005, almost after 10 months time.
