1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Devise is a noun. Devise or bequeath by will means to gift/transmit real property by will after one's death. This simply means that an individual creates a will that is regarded as a rule or a judgment by lawful forces after his death and is followed upon as per the clauses or conditions governing the will as signed/written by the signatory.

Bequeath by will means to leave real assets such as gold, jewellery, houses, bungalows, cars, cash and other assets in the name of loved ones and transfer the ownership rights to them after the property owners death.

"I am bequeathed by will" means inheritance of real assets as a gift from forefathers, grand parents, parents and loved ones.
