After A Laminectomy, Can The Pinched Nerve Rejuvenate?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Laminectomy is the removal of lamina which is a portion of vertebral bone. This surgery is done to relieve backache. Due to aging and daily tear, vertebral canal can become narrow which put pressure on the nerves and causes pain. If these pinched nerves remain untreated for long time then permanent damage can occur. Laminectomy relieves the pressure on the nerves and pain is relieved. Pinched nerves can be rejuvenated by Laminectomy if done on time. Recovery time of this procedure is long and can take a year. Relapses of backache are common after 1 or 1.5 years.
