Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The word 'Jure' is used as a name of a male child and this use of the word can be found inn the country of Slovenia and Croatia. When somebody is using the word in the English speaking countries he is conveying the idea of George as Jure is a variant of this word.

The word 'George' is used as a name to convey the idea of a farmer and this word can also trace its origin in the word 'geo' that means land. As a farmer is always connected with his land, this phenomenon prompted a farmer to be called as George. You will often find that the name George is very popular in the US state of Texas and probably the reason behind the nomenclature is that  a Texan is known to love his land very much and that prompted the popularity of the name.
