I Would Like To Know Why, When That Big Red Box Appears, No Explanation Is Shown?
A shout I wrote was rejected "For the following reasons:"________________________ No reason was given. It's happened quite a few times. I have no idea what the problem was, and, of course, the entire shout was deleted. Thanks a lot!

Hi, robbier44, thanks for using blurtit and we are sorry about the bug.
The reason why you can see the actual reason for rejection is due to our programming error, and we will fix it as soon as possible.
The reason for the notes in the shout box being deleted can be:
1. If you write in other people's shout box, the person has the right to delete your notes, and vice versa.
2. Moderator will delete notes which are against blurtit rules, for example, repeat post, spam link, insulting content, asking personal contact, and etc.
Hope it helps to clear your confusion.

Could it be sometimes due to the length of the shout message? I have had this occur when the shout I try to leave is more than maybe two or three sentences. ?
That's what I was thinking, but since they didn't tell me, I don't really know.
Their quick to block what makes us happy, but talk out of the SIDES of their mouths about our complaints, and our numbers is were they get their advertisers and money, Cuz!
I've had several blurtit members send me many unwanted shout messages and I keep deleting them. We should have a way to control who can and can't use our shout boxes AND also rate our answers negatively.

Again i have had the same problem with the shout box when trying to contact friends. It never seems to give a reason. It has happened several times and i can tell you it is very frustrating for a one fingered typist with poor eyesight.

Looks like we are frustrated by the same things. Let's see if we get an answer from Blurtit.
This is the reason you all will notice I rarely leave a shout... Too many reasons for them not to be posted. I think if someone is a friend and not using truly offensive language, the thought should be allowed to go through.

I agree, but sometimes the shout is merely too long. Only 100 words allowed. Problem seems to have been remedied.
I got RED flagged three or four times today over stupid harmless words!

I can not give someone knowledge for BLURTIT says his NAME is A BAD WORD and the queen says his name! Then I sound a harmless bell and RED FLAG YOUR A BAD PERSON! GET REAL DUD'S, come on

Yep, it was Sir Thomas Cr a pp er. And what is rude about D o ng? I used screw in an answer and it was allowed, this can be used as quite a rude word in UK in some contexts, weird isn't it?
Tonight, I was thinking of asking you if the dialect of the two countries is at the root of this problem? For Blurtit has made a lot of Americans very MAD! I know in physics debates PhD's from England have made me very mad not meaning to, in fact they were with me some!
I think you are right, there are a lot of words that don't "cross over" very well. For instance, do NOT comment on anyone's f a nn y over here! Terribly rude! Also b u t t is the end if a cigarette, you certainly would not want to sit on one. I could go on and on.....

We all complain but nothing happens. Is there some chain of command? Who can remedy the censorship issue or address our having control over who may enter comments on our SHOUT box? Who is adad1122? What kind of clout does he have?

Sissy, Click on that name above you adad1122 That's the Director of Blurtit, and take EVERYTHING to him! You or ANYBODY can jump in his personal Shoutbox by clicking his name! However you need to read Pork or Chicken! You'll love it, Sissy!
hi, kkkkatie, I am one of the staff working on blurtit. We are trying to solve all the system bugs and user complains as soon as possible. As you can see, lots of new features have been available on the site, and we will try our best to make blurtit a fun and informative community.
That's happening with me too. My questions are getting disapproved and the only explanation is "not a question". And they ARE questions! So it's starting to really tick me off now.

I've complained over and over about these same issues, and wanting to be able to BLOCK people jumping in MY SHOUTBOX, and making rude and unwanted statements, and I don't desire to even converse with these people! An unknown and neophyte bad word list, and zero notification of these words or a chance to change or correct in anyway! Then When WE start having fun using Smileys THEY wast no time BLOCKING these harmless Smileys , and make stupid statements that their security is at risk, and EMC SMILEY is part of one of the larger and SAFEST company's on the Internet, and FAR Safer that Blurtit!
So as I and others see it Blurtit Find it MORE important to BLOCK our having Harmless Fun, for they do that the next day!!! Than addressing The same complaints reported to them by many different people on Debates and questions!
OVER and OVER We are going to do that soon! How long did it take to stop our fun and fellowship?

Ya Robbie! And the things that hold the priorities to be addressed, TOO!
I haven't RECENTLY had problems, but it's happenened to me b4. I too would like to be able to block people. I hope that anyone that doesn't want me to leave them shouts lets me know so I won't do it anymore
