A large number of animals have become extinct since humans evolved with the number especially high in modern times. In fact the number of animals becoming extinct due to natural causes is significantly less as compared to those that have become extinct due to human activities. The list of extinct organisms includes not only animals but also birds as well as various plants and trees. The causes of extinction may be destruction of natural habitat and hunting; it is widely believed that over-hunting has been one of the major causes of extinction of animals.
Some of the famous extinct animals and birds are the aurochs of Europe, the quagga and the Atlas bear of Africa, the Cape lion, the dodo of Mauritius, the Javan tiger and the great auk. The number of extinct animals is going up steadily and today many animals that are endangered would become extinct shortly if efforts are not taken to keep up their existing numbers; many international governments and other organizations have started various projects like animal charity for the conservation of wildlife.

1. The Tasmanian tiger
2. The Passenger Pigeon
3. Aurochs Cattle of Europe
4. The Quagga Zebra
5. Atlas Bear of Africa
6. The Cape Lion
7. The Dodo bird of Mauritius
8. The Javan Tiger
9. The Great Auk
10. The Yangtze River Dolphin

Human's will all react when the polution and climate change starts to affect themselves, by then it will be too late. At least after humans mother nature will be able to start again

I think that animals are becoming extinct as we are polluting the air with all of our chemicals from our cars and homes - also we are cutting down the ainmals habitats e.g forests and detroying their habitats

Yes plenty, but scientists have been wrong with many extinctions. I live in a low-populated area and one day it was foggy and humid and we saw a dodo bird fly by it was amazing

Yes, millions of animals have become extinct after humans "arrived". Dodos, Tasmainian Tigers, Quaggas, just to name 3.
It's sad really, to think that they have become extinct, and mostly because of us. Our pollution to the earth, global warming and habitat production are a few of the many things that can wipe out species.
