How Do I Get Rid Of A Colic?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

From what i've heard... Colic is also known as tying up. One thing is most important, you do not let the horse lay down. It needs to be active and walking. After all colic is like a really bad human stomach ache.
I don't know if that will much help... But good-luck.

When your horse is going through colic you should also be sure to keep him/her nice and cool because they can not sweat, like she said be sure to keep your horse up and active, they may try to lay down but that will only make it worse they may not know that but you do. Call a vet as soon as you see the signs of your horse having colic.

I wish you the best of luck.

Make sure you dont let the horse lay down. Call your vet as soon as you see signs of colic. Try to keep your horse relaxed as possible.
