    I Will Be Pulling A U-Haul Trailer From St. Louis To Idaho Falls. I-80 Is Shorter Route, But I'm Being Told I-90 Has Less Mountains. Which Route Would Be The Better One For Pulling A Trailer?

    I'll be driving a 99 Pathfinder and don't want to blow the transmission or be stuck driving 40 mph as I'm on a time crunch.

    According to my information the I-90 route is better for a trailer type vehicle. This is because there are less mountains like you said and thus less speed fluctuations. So you can take of the time issue.
