How Do I Create A Website?

　　To create a website you have to do the following things:
　　Creating basic HTML

　　For creating/viewing a web page take the following steps:
　　1 Open a text editor like Notepad or WordPad
　　2 Type away
　　3 Save as a "text" file and call it filename.html
　　4 Start up a browser
　　5 Open up your file
　　6 File menu -> Open
　　7 Browse to find your file
　　8 Click open and OK
　　9 To make changes go back to the text editor
　　10 Make your changes and SAVE
　　11 Go back to the browser
　　12 Reload – use 'Refresh' icon or 'Refresh' button in the View menu or F5

　　After all this process you can go any free website like www.jeosites.com and upload your site on the internet.

Easy way to create a website:

First of all create linked web pages using web development tools (like MS Front page, dream weaver etc..)

Get online space; it is offered free also, e.g Free spaces.com,free webs.com offers free web space to host your website.

Upload your files to the web hosting server like freespaces.com server ... the free web hosting service will give you a complicated  address of your website that you have created.e.g freespaces.com/yourname.

If you want to redirect your web address from an easy address you have to consult domain services.

Tt may be something like www.yourname.com or www.yourname.net.ms.

Creating a website is not a difficult task, especially if you are creating a basic website with a home page and some links to other pages. We can use FrontPage for this purpose. FrontPage is available with Microsoft Office (Latest version of MS Office does not include FrontPage).

By using FrontPage you have to do minimum efforts to create a simple website. To start creating the website simple start FrontPage the select File -> New -> Web from menu bar. After this you will get a task pane in the right side. Select a Empty Web option from there. It will open a dialogue box with some template in it and the location to create your website and name of the website.

Select a suitable template. If you are unaware which template to select then simply select empty web template and press OK button. It will create an empty website on the specified location. Now press Ctrl + N for new webpage. Write your text or insert images (Insert -> picture -> from file) and press Ctrl + S to save the page. The name of the homepage must be index.html or index.htm or default.html or default.htm. Now create other pages and on the home page provide links to those pages. Simply write some text and press Ctrl + K. It will open a dialogue box. It this box, specify the file name to which you want to create link. In this way you can create multiple pages with links to each of them.

If you have some basic knowledge of HTML then you can also create website with HTML.

Creating a Website - Fast and Easy!

Creating a website.  Sounds complicated, doesn't it?  It isn't.  You don't need to be a techie or learn any type of complicated code either.  If you are creating a website for the first time, bookmark this site.  It will be really useful to you.  I tell you everything you need to know and walk you through each step of the process - free!   

There are three main steps to creating a web site:

1.  Get a Domain Name - this page has everything you need to know about domain names - what they are, why you need one, how to choose a good one and how to get one.

2.  Choose a Web Host - this page explains what a web host is, how to choose a good one, and what you really need and what you don't so you don't get taken.  

3.  Creating a Web Site - this page explains how you actually build a website, what you should and should not put on it and helps you figure out which website builder is for you.

Creating a website is just the first step to having a successful website.  I will also show you add-ons you can put on your website like newsletters and counters for free or cheap, ways you can make money from your website and how to get traffic to it.

There are a couple of websites you can use to create your own website for free (if you want certain extra privileges, you must purchase, but otherwise, completely free). Below, there are some listed, along with a couple of programs you can use too.

1. I have tried webs.com, but in my opinion, it was not a very good choice. I don't highly recommend it-I tried to get into my account to edit and found it impossible.

2. I have also tried weebly.com, and I say it is absolutely amazing. Make sure to try weebly.com, I think it is very convenient, you can easily edit and there are plenty of helpful features.

3. I have not tried yola.com, but you can go ahead. I have no extra comments for this one.

4. FrontPage is a program you have to buy with a Microsoft package (I think), but it is a great, handy tool for creating websites.

5. If you have basic HTML knowledge, you can create a website using that.
