While officially there is no stadium called Roundhay Stadium, it could refer to Headingley Stadium Headingley Stadium, a sporting complex found in Headingley, a suburb of Leeds. The stadium is home to Leeds Rhinos RLFC, Leeds Tykes RUFC and Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Leeds RUFC, which later became Leeds Tykes, resulted from the amalgamation of two clubs, namely Roundhay and Headingley in June 1991. Through a shared main stand Headingley cricket ground connects to the rugby stadium. Headingley Stadium is actually made up of two separate grounds and has a two-sided stand which houses common facilities.
Right until 2005 the Leeds Cricket, Football and Athletic Company owned the whole complex. However, on December 31, 2005, the cricket ground was purchased by the Yorkshire County Cricket Club. The official name of the stadium was changed to the Headingley Carnegie Stadium from January 11, 2006. Roundhay Stadium could also refer to Roundhay Park in Leeds.
