It may be too late, but sparknotes do have detailed summaries of each scene and modern versions of the language, which will at least help you to get a better understanding of the characters. The main difference I remember is that Portia argues in terms of her and Brutus' relationship - basically saying that if he loves her, he will confide in her,and emphasising that she is strong enough to help him. Calpurnia on the other hand just tries to persuade Caesar that he is in danger and she fears for his safety.
