According to the report on the SSA website, Most of the people who are getting SSI should have already been confirmed. Also, according to the report, they are "planning" on starting the payments on May 18th, it still may take a few days to get it though.
Remember, according to the report, they are planning on doing it this way, it does not mean that they will start the payments to those on SSI on the 18th. As we all know, plans have a way of changing and I am sure the Social Security Administration is no exception to the rule. :-)
Also, if you have a child under 18 who gets SSI due to a disability, they should also receive a one time payment provided that they got a regular SSI check in Nov or Dec 2008 or Jan 2009.
