A low carb diet is a problem solving diet. You need to get where you are going and then level off.
If you stayed on a purely low carb regimen weight would continue to be lost and ultimately you could lose too much. The low carb way is good for you in that you can get the deadly weight off quicker and still feel satisfied/full on the prescribed foods(any meats/fish, green veggies, strawberries, cheese, eggs, butter....etc) without having to be on a "program diet" or pay to be a part of an org/cllub... Buy special "groceries" or take chemicals. You realize that you don't need the sugar, starch and breads like before. When you get where you need to be you can balance the regimen with a few more carbs. Low carb eating takes a major stress off of the pancreas. It lowered my blood pressure, heart rate and got cholesterol numbers in good shape and my skin was awesome. I had less blemishes/pimples and more muscle tone. I was less dry and itchy in my private areas. So....overall, Yes! For the time I was on it ,low carb eating(I lost 50 pounds) was a "good" diet. Steve Dykes
