Your legal name is one that you were born with, changed by marriage or deed poll.

Is my "full, legal name," then, the name that is listed on my marriage license instead of on my birth certificate, social security card, driver's license, etc?

Your present legal name is your married name in your case. On most legal forms it will give spaces for you to put previous names. When you married you should have notified the driving authorities and social security.

I re-checked, and actually all those documents do have my married last name. The difference is merely that some of them give a middle name, and some a middle initial. I'm sorry about the misinformation.

The main confusion for me was that some people say the legal name is on the birth certificate, some say it's whatever you've been using since you got married.

Thank you so much for clearing it up!

I just realized, I don't know where this site is based! I'm in the U.S.
