A very tall, huge gigantic structure made by man is called a Tower. There different towers that exist. You have skyscrapers, cooling tower, chimney that are generally built to save ground-level space. Then there are towers that are generally built to attract tourist such as tourist towers, air-traffic control tower, railroad yard tower, harbor control tower, filming tower. Then you also have towers for strategic advantage such as prison watch tower, defensive walls, siege tower, fire lookout tower, camera tower.
Even in the world of communication there are various towers built namely, radio mast/tower, lighthouse, light tower, minaret, bell tower, clock tower.
Some of the famous sky scrapers that re referred to as towers are; In the United States, the now-destroyed World Trade Center had the nickname the Twin Towers, a name shared with the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur.
