What Is In Depth Literature Survey?

I am not exactly sure but I think that it means to study a story or a work of Literature in complete detail and from every point of view (critically, literally, from a reader's point of view, from an other author's point of view etc) and that you should also take into consideration the following things:- characters, speech and dialogue, forming of the plot, unforming of a plot, starting, ending, personalities, language and comparison to other literary work!!
