I Have Four Cats, Three Out Of The Four Are Fixed But The One That Is Not Is In Heat . With Her In Heat, Will That Cause My Males To Spray And My Female To Pee In The House?
 Yes as long as a male cat ins not fixed then he will spray no matter if our other cat is fixed or not. |

If your cats are spayed and neuter their reproductive organs are removed. For the males the testicles are removed and the female the ovaries and uterine body are removed. These organs are the source of the sex hormones. So when they are spayed or neutered these hormone levels drop to zero. The other cats in your household should not respond to another cat in heat if they have been spayed and neutered. It is much less common for neutered male cats to spray. If they were neutered as mature adults spraying can become a learned behavior and not hormonally driven (hormones are the initial drive for spraying). I would still recommend spaying your cat to prevent unwanted pregnancy and serious uterine infection. |
