How Can I Remove Toner Stains From Clothes?

I read that using a brush to knock the toner off was good so I tried a vacuum cleaner hose. It worked pretty well. Then a brush and water and a brush again. It got all but a very small piece but it was a pretty small stain in the first place. Do not use hot water because it set the toner, according to some and that makes sense to me.
