    I Have A Cat About 11 Months Old Who Constantly Has Feces Coming Out. What Could This Be?

    The cat has had this problem for a while now and it's always a runny BM.

    You mean it just leaks all the time? This indicates an ineffective sphincter muscle. Could be due to a birth defect in the spine, or a more recent injury.
    If you mean diarrhoea, then a gut infection is the most likely cause.

      If it's a manx or manx mix (has a very short or no tail), he or she may have lack of innervation to the anal sphincter (no nerve conduction telling the anus to stay closed)... Hope this helps... See what your kitty's vet says though
