Germany is one of the world's leaders in the manufacture of cars; it has produced many car companies which are unparalleled in their standards of quality. Given below is a non exhaustive list of German car companies.
Audi: this automobile company has its main offices in Ingolstadt in Bavaria and is a nearly wholly owned sister concern of the Volkswagen Group.
BMW: this automobile giant, known in English as Bavarian Motor Works is an independent organisation and is the parent organisation of the Rolls-Royce brand of automobiles.
Mercedes-Benz: it is a brand owned by the DaimlerChrysler group, today a forerunner in luxury vehicles.
