It's sometimes called "letting nature take its course." It's basically when you do not provide any artificial means of life support for a dying person, and you allow them to die naturally. It's different from active euthanasia, which is taking steps to actively kill someone who is dying, like injecting them with an overdose of morphine or smothering them in their sleep.
