I am not sure if PA. Requires a health certificate to fly from LA . To PA. My cat will be on the plane with me as carry on so the airline does not require it but they said I may have to produce it in the PIT airport. I don't want to pay to get it if I don't have to. His shots are up to date.

To be on the safe side, it is just as well to go and get the health certificate. To get this all you need is to go to a vet and have them give the cat a full physical examination to ascertain that the cat is in good health. The vet will then issue you with a special airline required certificate. You should take with you records of vaccinations and dewormings, if you have done them yourself, to the vet.
