Why Is It So Important For Teens To Have Self-respect?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

If a teen does not have self-respect they open themselves up to destructive behavior. It makes their jouney through life not as enjoyable and healthy as it could be. Self-asteem goes right along with that. If due to a mental illness, personality defect, or other mental health issue teens can suffer so much when they deserve so much better. It is due other issues such as how they were treated by others at school, at home by parents and siblings, even relatives and teachers can effect us negatively while growing up. If they have no self respect than usually they cannot truly respect anyone else either.
