The problem is that the item that you are speaking about is something that is used by adults. They may be scared about what it means for someone of your age to understand about such an adult thing. If you are very curious, you can look it up on Dictionary.com and you will see that it is nothing special.
It is certain that in a few years, you will find out what this item is and then it will really be a big deal. Don't be hard on your mother or your school, it is a scary thing for adults to deal with children finding out about adult things. It makes them feel bad and embarrassed. The punishment is unfair. If you look it up in the dictionary as I said, you will find the answer you are looking for. In the future, you will know more about this kind of thing, at the moment, that information just shouldn't be useful to you.

It was very unfair of your school to punish you for asking this question. However, It depends on where you live and what faith you follow but at 12 you are old enough to ask the question. Your Mother may have felt embarrassed as parents do.
Rather than try and answer you here as it's obvious the subject upsets some people, ask the question on a search engine like Google if you have no-one to talk to. Responsible people use them to save unwanted children from coming into the world and to help stop the spread of diseases such as HIV.
There is nothing evil or dreadful about the subject nor are they corrupt. You will form your own opinions about the subject once you know more and as you get older and have more life experience.
I hope you find someone to talk to about things like this as you mature into adulthood. Good Luck.

I am surprised that at the age of twelve you are not getting the lessons you need from school , or your mother.
No wonder there are so many young children that are parents before their time.

See it may be difficult for your mother to tell you ....................you should not ask. If you want to know, ask your friend - may be they know and if they don't know then think you are too small to know about that and be small because after knowing that may be you feel like hell so plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz don't force any body ok and take care.

a condom is not good at all, it is evil.It is used to deprive an innocent child of the gift of life.In my opinion it is a murder weapon.I am 13 and I recently learnt and I was very upset and cried because of it.Trust me, you do not want anything to do with condoms-they are terrible things which should not exist and should NEVER be used.I wish my school punished people for approving of them, but it wont.It was unfair that they punished you, because you genuinely didn't know.Just forget about them, because there is nothing we can do about them and if you knew you would be miserable.I am miserable about it-I weep sometimes for the corrupt way of humans-but I just forget about them, then I am happy.I advise you to do the same.

I think your comments are harsh as condoms do a lot of good in the world. If only more people used them we wouldn't have so many unwanted children who are then subjected to abuse and neglect by irresponsible people who didn't want them in the first place.
Your mum's probably unsure of how to educate you so that you can have a healthy sense of sexual matters. She's probably afraid that she would make a mistake and harm you instead. She certainly understands that what you learn as a child is very important. Your school is supposed to view sexual matters in a healthy way so it's their fault if they punished you when you asked them what a condom is. Most importantly, talk to a counsellor or an adult you trust or your parents about this issue. You have to know who did right and who did wrong.
