I read somewhere that just because you've been out of the workforce for a long time, doesn't mean you don't have something to offer.  It further said that on your resume, you should document & itemize everything you've done- making it sound "official".  For example; raising kids has most likely perfected your multitasking skills.....see what I mean?
As mothers and/or housewives, we sometimes tend to think that we don't have much to offer when it comes to an "actual" job....but that is so wrong.  We have been in an actual job- we work 24/7 in the most demanding, low paying and at times, quite unappreciated business.  Don't underestimate yourself and your abilities!

Make a C.V. Get a few copies of it then look in news papers and on the Internet for jobs that suit you. Also find out if there is anywhere near you that helps give you advice on interviews I no in Ireland there is jobs clubs but I'm not sure about where you are from.

You might want to start with a temp agency. They will help you update some of your skills and you can work at a variety of companies until you find one you like. When I worked temp in the past, I was almost always offered a permanent position. Kelly and Olsten are both good temp agencies. Plus the pay is pretty good and you can work when you want.
