Why Is It So Difficult For Men And Women To Communicate? What Do Women Really Want, And Do They Even Know?

I have tried to communicate with my wife by asking her what it is that she wants, but when I try to make peace by incorporating her suggestions into our marriage, she still complains that I don't get it. What is it that I don't get ? I can do exactly what it is that she has ask, and still she isn't satisfied. Is it me trying to hard or what?

There is a good book on the differences between the way men and women understand each other. "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" helps to identify the ways male and female communicate and perceive. Your wife might have needs that she doesn't necessarily want to have to "tell" you to meet. Some women want men to "automatically" know what the problem is and how to fix it. Some women are at an age "menopause" where all you can do is ride the waves of her emotions and hope for the best. Just be patient and look into books that discuss what women look for and need to feel fulfilled in a relationship, or online group discussions with other married men that have experienced similar things, and lastly couple counseling. Barnes and noble has many books designed to help men understand women and vise versa. Hopefully you can find a way to come together in understanding. Good luck!
