I Have Never Tried Internet Shopping. Is It Any Good?

Answer Question

Internet shopping has really taken off in the UK in the last ten years. The first supermarket to get into it in a big way was Tesco, but Sainsburys followed suit soon after and now other major supermarkets also have delivery services. Tesco is, however, still the leader with hundreds of fleets of delivery vans all over the country.
Shopping online is now much easier as broadband is more common, making the process cheaper and quicker. The store is arranged by category of food and the search facility makes it easy and quick to locate the items you want.

Once you have placed your order and booked a delivery slot, payment takes place online, then you wait for the order to come. Delivery is done in vans with freezer and cooler sections, so frozen and chilled food arrives in very good condition – better than if it had been in the boot of a car on the way home.
