I know they will give some stimulus checks but I'm not sure how many. Obama seems to be keeping the details a secret for some reason. I have found out that those on SSI will be getting a check for $250. I haven't seen anything about the rest of the country except that it will benefit 95% of the country.

There are tax credits this year instead of stimulus checks.
But if you were not eligible last year, you may be able to get some money this year. There are two main circumstances which will trigger that:
You did not get a stimulus payment, or
Your payment was less than $600 ($1200 if married filing jointly for 2007), plus $300 for each qualifying child for 2008.
