At What Age Do I Give My Dogs The Parvo Virus Shot?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The distemper-parvo combination vaccine should be started at 6-8 weeks of age then given every 3-4 weeks until the puppy is 16 weeks of age.  The next booster will be at one year of age and either yearly or every three years depending upon the type of vaccination given.  Rabies vaccine is done between 3-6 months of age based on local laws.  All puppies should have 2 routine dewormings and a fecal analysis performed.
Other vaccinations may be needed--disease prevalence varies with area of the country.
Call your veterinarian to schedule your puppy's first vaccination visit.
