Yes, but you will need to have a licensed Cosmetologist who specializes in corrective color to get it close to your natural color.
Make sure you ask for someone who specializes in corrective color. Not all stylists are knowledgeable in this area.

The best and safest way is to seek a professional hairdresser's advice; someone who specializes in color correction. Too many things can go wrong with over the counter haircolors and you really need a professional to "diagnose" the problem and fix it without further damage to your hair.

Was blonde put black dye from chemist not nice was told to put a light blonde over the black anyone know does it work would it lighten up the black
I would not recommend putting a light blonde over the black; it may make it appear "muddy". Black dye is the most difficult to remove and the hair can be damaged in trying to strip the black dye out of the hair. Again, I would consult with a professional hairdresser (in person) because she will need to know whether you used metallic dyes, etc.....She/he will also need to examine the hair to determine how much damage has been done and the best method of removing the color
