If You Created A Time Machine What Would You Use It For?

I'd take it forward to witness the destruction of the human race, than even further to see the death of the planet. Then I'd go back to see the creation of the moon, and the Earth, and the Solar System. I'd take it all the way back to witness the Big Bang, and then jet back to around a billion years ago and wander in the prehistoric wildlands of Terra Firma.

Back to the 1800s, patent the light bulb and telephone before Edison. Forward to 1889, arrange an accident to the baby Hitler. Forward to 1982, buy a major stake in Microsoft, forward a couple of years, buy a major stake in Apple. Now I have unlimited funds, so shuttle forward to see what becomes of Mankind, hopefully go starwalking. If the future is bleak and/or boring, just come back to the present day, which is the society in which I'd be most comfortable - and has the best medical care - and enjoy fishing.
