    Ireland is considered as the 20 th largest Island of the world and the third largest Island in Europe. It borders Continental Europe, Great Britain with a separation by the Irish Sea.

    The current Prime Minister or as called in Irish Taoiseach  is Brian Cowen. He took office on 7th May, 2008 and is heading a coalition government which includes the Green Party and the Progressive Democrats.

      The Prime Minister of Ireland or as popularly called in Irish, The Taoiseach is Brain Cowen. He assumed office on 7th May, 2008.

      He is actually heading a coalition government which is led by his party Fianna Fail. This includes the Green party and the Progressive Democrats. He used to be Teachta Dala for the Laois Offaly constituency since the year 1984. He also served as Minister for various Minsteries before he became the Prime Minister.
