When Does It Stop ?

If a flawless rubber ball is dropped from a point that is exactly perpendicular onto a totally flat surface, does the ball ever really stop bouncing ?

    Yes, because each time the ball contacts the earth , it looses energy into the earth until it has been completely absorbed into the earth.

      On earth, the answer is yes! For gravity and resistance WILL stop it.
      Now if you put it in a TOTAL vacuum and started the bounce it MIGHT just keep going up! It  would depend on the exact question's wording!
