What If My Kitten Eats Litter?

It depends what sort of litter it is, you shouldn't use the 'clumping' / clay sort   because if they eat it it causes a blockage inside them and they can die, use the wood /sand / paper -based litter instead.

It may kill him if it is the 'clumping' sort of litter - i think that's the clay sort - it will clump inside him and could cause a fatal blockage. So use the sand/paper/wood type instead.

If he is eating clay litter it probably won't hurt him, but it is a symptom of minerals lacking in his diet, check with your vet for supplements, or a diet change reccomendation.

Let him eat it - it won't kill him and the worst he will do is to throw it back up.  He'll grow out of it.
