When Is It Ok For Me To Start Working Out After Having A Baby?

Answer Question

Everyone is different and it depends on the kind of exercise you do. I would avoid lifting heavy things for a while. But things like walking on a treadmill or riding a stationary bike, I would say you could do as soon as you feel that you are able. If it doesn't hurt that it shouldn't be a problem. Just take it slow and don't do anything that requires sudden bursts (like lifting weights) because you could cause yourself too much harm by the time you realize that it hurts.

Usually 6 to 8 weeks after giving birth, but check with your doctor to be sure your body has healed properly to do so....they will let you know at your 6 week check up.Congrats on the new baby!
