How Do You Clean A Store Bought Turkey?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A store bought turkey does not really need much cleaning, as compared to cleaning a wild turkey that has been killed. To do this, one has to go through the painful and tedious processes like field dressing etc. one also has to decide on how one will cook the turkey. Accordingly it can be cleaned. For example, if one wants to roast, smoke or deep fry the whole turkey, then one should leave the skin on.

Field dressing is basically the removal of the guts or the entrails which helps to cool the bird quicker and keep the bird's juices from ruining any meat.
