CH3 is a methyl group and abbreviated as -Me. It is a hydrocarbon organic compound and has an unpaired electron. The Methyl group is non reactive with alkanes. It does not react with strong acid and strong base. It is more reactive with C6H5- because of the electron pair of this group and forms toluene. So its reactivity depends on the group it is going to react. Moreover, methyl does not show reactivity towards oxidizing and reducing agents.
