Its a musical if you didn't know already (that turns some people off) about man named Sweeney todd (JP) who returns home after being falsely imprisoned because a judge loved and wanted his wife and daughter.  When he comes back he finds them gone and meets mrs. Lovits(HBC) who runs a meat-pie shop and she tells him all that's happened to his family.  He  goes insane and is then blinded by revenge and kills his customers and mrs. Lovits grinds their bodies into meat-pies.
It sounds strange but its really good...i loved it.  Its rated R and watch it at least twice because the first time might be a little hard to understand because of all the singing and accents.

Musicals don't turn me of...I LOVE them! I watch movies and see plays like Hairspray, Dreamgirls, Across the Universe, Wicked, and more! (I have even been in a few school musicals, myself.) Anyway, I think I will see Sweeney Todd. Thank you SO much for the answer!

Sweeney Todd is based upon a Broadway musical of the same name. It's about a barber who butchers some of his customers to help out his lover's meat-pie business.

mrs. lovits wasn't his lover. sweeney todd was still in love with his wife and mrs. lovits loved him. and he doesn't kill people to help the meat-pie business, he does it because he has gone insene with the thirst for revenge.
