When A Pedestrian Is Hit By A Car How Can You Help?

Firstly, go and check if the pedestrian is badly hurt. Check his pulse and see if he or she is in shock. Do not attempt to move him much, as it may damage some parts of the body which are hurt. If it is a hit and run, try and note down the number of the car if you are able to catch it. If there is someone around you, tell them to call an ambulance or tell someone to take care of the victim till you go get help. Try and keep the victim conscious till help arrives, do not let him or her lose consciousness. Try and retrieve the victim's wallet to find details like name, social security number, blood group etc so that it saves times at the hospital. If you can arrange for a car or taxi, take the victim to the hospital if the ambulance takes too much time.
