I Have A 1996 Geo Prizm And The Engine Is Knocking, What Could It Be?
The oil light came on a couple days ago, and just tonight I was driving on the interstate and got off on an exit and my car died. I started it back up and it didn't want to start but it did but it was making a loud knocking sound and the battery light came on. I'm going to check it out tomorrow in the light but was just wondering what could possibly be the problem.

When is the last time you had your oil changed? The knocking may be a bad tie rod and if that goes it can ruin your engine. Have it checked immediately.
