How Much Should My Kitten Weigh?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

As a very general rule kittens should gain 1 pound of body weight per month for the first 6 months of life.  More important than the weight is your dog's body condition.  You should be able to feel the kittens ribs easily but not see them.  The spine and hip bones should not jut but also be easily felt.  Ask your veterinarian if your kitten is at a good weight at the next vaccine visit.
