An Official Passport is different from a normal passport. It is issued to a person who is one some official business of the state. However, it is not given to people who are posted abroad, rather to people who need to travel for a shorter period of time. It is also known as a service passport.

This passport has a different color than the ordinary state passport. This makes these passports easier to identify. The most interesting thing about this passport is that, it is for a short term basis. A person who has an official passport can also have a normal passport at the same time. As it is used for official state promoted traveling only.

It normally does not require a fee, for the passport or the visa on this official passport. The most common usage of this Passport is by the Military services around the world, who are being deployed or sent on a mission to another country.
