Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The Yangtze River is located in China. It is one of China's main waterways and supports a huge percent of its population even today. It is said to be the longest river in Asia and the third longest rover after the Nile and the Amazon. The river starts in the western China's Qinghai Province at the Tibetian plateau and moves east words into the East China Sea. One of the most important features of this river is that it has been seen as a dividing line between northern and southern China.

The Central Yangtze is often known as 'China's home of rice and fish' owing to its fertile soils and other benefits that the river supplies the country with. It is the main source of hydroelectric power and irrigation, something that supports more than half of china's population and economy.
