When Do You Plant Tulips?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Tulips need comparatively cooler areas like that of Australia and the highlands. Tulips come in many varieties; some of the newer variety of tulips which are available now, called the Single Late Tulips can endure less winter chilling and produce equally good quality tulips. These tulips grow up to 60 cm tall stamps and big flower heads. There are also warm weather tulips available n different colors and varieties. It is always a good idea to purchase your bulbs in the month of March and put them in your refrigerator. This will allow them to cool down sufficiently. Chill your buds for about 6 to 8 weeks prior to planting will ensure longer and stronger stems.
